“Farol Invisível” (the Invisible Lighthouse) is a pioneering initiative in Portugal, promoted by the High Degrees of the Portuguese Rite and by the Sovereign Grand Lodge of Portugal. A community centre offering permanent support, using a Mason’s most valuable resource: his Time. At a time when Freemasonry only makes sense if it puts society first, this action stands out for its relevance.
The Light we receive in the Temple only fulfils its true purpose when it illuminates the world around us. The initiative offers support in areas such as rights and citizenship, legal aid, tackling digital illiteracy, optical and dental services, social support for the elderly, financial education and much more. All of it under the supervision of a Scientific Council and in collaboration with local parish councils, ensuring the help reaches those who need it most.
