Conference: “Lima de Freitas – Life, Work and Esotericisms – A Lusiad Freemasonry”

The Bento Espinoza Study Circle / RLIBE, together with its Grand Preceptors, Prof. Fernando Casqueira and Paulo Toste, is organising on 20 September, at 10 a.m. a conference devoted to Lima de Freitas (1927-1998), on the theme “Lima de Freitas – Life, Work and Esotericisms – A Lusiad Freemasonry”. The gathering takes place at Rua António Pedro, no. 8, Lisbon.

Lima de Freitas was a teacher, draughtsman and writer, initially linked to the neo-realist movement, but whose artistic and intellectual path evolved towards a theosophical and spiritualised perspective. His vast body of work, marked by a profound symbolic and philosophical dimension, invites a wide-ranging enquiry into the Lusiad Paideia, reflected in the Portuguese Rite itself.

The event is a unique opportunity to reflect on the artistic and spiritual legacy of one of the most striking figures of twentieth-century Portuguese culture.

Participation is by invitation only, with registration required. Admission involves a symbolic contribution of 5€, to be paid in advance by MB WAY to the mobile number 927723210.

After the conference, participants are invited to a Port of Honour.

Registration until 17 Septembo:
