Our Soberana, the Sovereign Grand Lodge of Portugal, is one of the most vibrant Regular Masonic Obediences in Europe, in sustained growth, a defender of the great values of Humanism in a world that is ever more challenging and in deep transformation. It is on a path of enormous evolution, renewal and training of its brethren. It has recently signed 9 Treaties of Friendship with regular powers in Brazil, Italy, Malta, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, France, Russia, Andorra and the Philippines. It has also granted 2 Charters so that the Portuguese Rite may be worked in Brazil and in the Philippines, something entirely without precedent to this day.
Our latest Grand Lodge session was by far the best attended ever, while the Gala in Honour of the Ladies gathered some 200 guests in an atmosphere of celebration and harmony that was quite remarkable. We are indeed more and more, yet still far too few for all the work that lies ahead. We are and shall always be Soberana! Congratulations and thanks to all our Dear Brethren.
