Farol Invisível (the Invisible Lighthouse) is a new initiative of Portuguese Freemasonry, created by the High Degrees of the Portuguese Rite and the Sovereign Grand Lodge of Portugal. It is a permanent community centre, sustained by the volunteering of Masons who give their time to serve society.
The project aims to turn the Light received in the Temple into concrete action, providing free support in several areas: rights and citizenship, accounting, digital inclusion, medical and social care, education, coaching and employment support. A Scientific Council will guarantee the transparency and fairness of the services.
In the 21st century, a Freemasonry that is not at the service of its community does not fulfil its mission, because the Light we receive must be shared.
The official presentation of the project takes place on 11 November 2025, at 5.30 p.m., at Templo Portugal (Rua António Pedro 8B, Lisbon).
The event is open to Masons and non-Masons alike, inviting all who believe in a fairer and more caring society to discover this transformative initiative.
